Spend Limits: All you need to know...
Part of our commitment to Responsible Gambling involves Spend Limits, which limit the amount of money you can spend within a chosen time frame. This allows you to maintain control over your finances. Below, we have addressed some common questions about Spend Limits, providing you with all the necessary information:
How do I set a Spend Limit?
You can set a Daily, Weekly or Monthly Spend Limit by going to My Account > Play Responsibly > Spend Limits. You will also see the options on the Deposit page when making your first ever deposit.
A Spend Limit is the maximum that you would be able to spend during the selected time period. This is calculated from your net deposits (deposits minus withdrawals) during that time frame.
You can always spend less than the amount you've chosen — there’s no obligation to spend the full amount. When calculating how much you can spend, simply take the total amount you've deposited within the specified time, subtract any withdrawals, and you'll be left with your net amount. For example, if you've selected a £20 limit, deposited £20 and withdrawn £10, you'll have £10 remaining.
How long does a Spend Limit last?
A Spend Limit will run continuously unless you choose to change or remove it.
A Daily Spend Limit resets at Midnight (00:00). Weekly and Monthly limits run on a rolling basis starting from the date set. For example, if you set your Weekly Spend Limit on a Wednesday, it will re‑set each Wednesday.
How do I change my Spend Limit?
You can return to the Responsible Gambling section by going to Menu > My Account > Play Responsibly > Spend Limits to select a new amount or time period.
Whether this change takes effect immediately or not will depend on the change you are trying to make.
There are two distinct elements within Spend Limits:
- The first is the amount of money you choose to spend.
- The second is the time period over which you wish to spend that money (daily, weekly, monthly).
If you are increasing the amount of money you wish to spend during the time period you are choosing (compared to the current time period you already have set), this change will take effect at midnight after the 24-hour cool-off period has passed. This means it will be a minimum of 24 hours, and up to approximately 48 hours, depending on when you make your request. For example, if you request an increase at 3:00 PM today, your new spend limit will apply from midnight tomorrow.
If you wish to decrease the amount over a shorter period, you must wait until the other limit expires. However, if you are decreasing the amount of money you wish to spend in the same time period, or a longer time period, your limit change will take effect immediately.
If you are changing the frequency only, and keeping the same monetary amount, one of two things will happen:
- It will change immediately if you are going from Daily to Weekly, or from Daily/Weekly to Monthly.
- You can change your Spend Limit once your current limit period has ended.
New Player Limits
