Can I withdraw to Google Pay?
In this article we’ve put together everything you need to know about withdrawing after depositing with Google Pay. Simply click on a question below to find out more:
Can I withdraw to Google Pay?
Withdrawals cannot be sent directly to Google Pay. If you deposited using Google Pay, your withdrawal will be paid to a bank account registered in your name, in line with our closed loop policy.
How do withdrawals work if I used Google Pay?
When you request a withdrawal after depositing with Google Pay, the funds are sent to your registered bank account, not back to Google Pay itself.
In some cases, you may be asked to add or confirm your bank account details before your withdrawal can be completed.
Why can’t I see Google Pay as a withdrawal option?
Google Pay will not appear as a withdrawal option because withdrawals are processed to a bank account rather than directly to Google Pay.
How do I withdraw my balance?
To withdraw, you’ll need to add a bank account in your own name. You can do this by going to:
My Account > Withdraw > Update Bank Details
You’ll need your account number and sort code to complete this.
When can I update or change my withdrawal method?
You can update your withdrawal method providing that:
- Your account balance is below £50
- You have no pending withdrawals
If your balance is £50 or higher, or you have a pending withdrawal, you won’t be able to add or change a withdrawal method until the balance goes below £50 and/or the withdrawal is processed.
You can check the status of your withdrawal at any time via My Account > Payment History.
